IBHI’s End-of-Year Dinner with all the members

The end-of-the-year dinner was held on the 15th of December 2022 at JC Bastos in Yaounde. The head of the laboratory encountered this opportunity to give a general appreciation and encouragement to all lab members regarding their respective work and announced objectives for the new year 2023.

A great accolade and solid basis for continued research endeavors abroad for Dr NONO who has been appointed as Honorary senior lecturer in the Division of Immunology, Department of Pathology of the University of Cape Town in South Africa from 2022 to 2025.

IBHI Lab at the face to face meeting on Schistosomiasis, London, UK

Dr Nono participated in the Face to face schistosomiasis meeting from 22-23 September 2022 organized by the University of Dundee Drug Discovery Unit with high level officials of Merck, WHO, DNDi and Wellcome Trust to discuss on the best ways forward to new treatments against schistosomiasis.

During the ICOPA 2022 Congress from August 21-26, Dr Nono gave a talk on the impact of schistosomiasis on antiviral vaccination in a GSA(Global Schistosomiasis Alliance)-organized symposium.

Inauguration of the IBHI Unit in Cameroon by high-level officials from the Institute of Medical Research and Medicinal Plants studies in the presence of heads of the National Control Program for the Fight against Schistosomiasis and Intestinal Helminthiases, the Centre for Research in Infectious Diseases and EPICENTRE – MSF Cameroon
