2025 end-of-year scientific and recreational day for IBHI & LBMB labs
The Immunology and Helminth Infections Unit (IHBI) and the Molecular Biology and Biotechnology Laboratory (LBMB) of IMPM held their end-of-year event on December 19, 2025, at Eco Park Ahala in the city of Yaoundé. This day combined scientific excellence, collective reflection, and conviviality.
The morning was dedicated to a series of presentations highlighting flagship projects and notable achievements of 2025. The various research teams – Immunology, Transcriptomics, Metagenomics, Mycobiomics, Metabolomics, and Molecular Diagnostics – as well as management coordinators (capacity building, communication and public relations, daily operations) presented detailed reports.
These presentations not only assessed the progress made but also identified the challenges and limitations encountered, while proposing concrete solutions to guide the work for 2026.

Moments of conviviality and recognition
Beyond the scientific exchanges, the atmosphere was enlivened by social games and entertainment that sparked laughter and camaraderie. Several members were honored with awards, while others received gifts in recognition of their commitment and dedication.
Participants also enjoyed the natural beauty of the park and its wildlife, adding a dimension of discovery to this special day.

Festive conclusion
The celebration concluded with a festive lunch prepared by a local chef. Around the table, colleagues shared anecdotes and moments of conviviality, thereby strengthening the bonds that unite the team. This day provided an opportunity not only for in-depth professional reflection but also for a sincere celebration of the unity and excellence that characterize the members of the IBHI and LBMB laboratories.
