On July 28th, 2024, Ms. Noubissi Fotseu Marie Madeleine epouse Balla successfully defended her master’s thesis entitled “Assessment of Plasma Levels of Prostate Specific Antigen as a Biomarker of Intestinal Schistosomiasis and Associated Liver Fibrosis in Young Girls from Bokito, Cameroon.” Her research was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Justin K Nono, Dr Rene Essomba (National Public Health laboratory) and lab mentored by Mr Bernard Zambo (PhD fellow and IMPM Molecular Biology Lab Manager). The examination committee highly commended her work, awarding it an outstanding grade of 18 out of 20, and strongly recommended the publication of her findings in a peer-reviewed journal.
