Dr. Justin Komguep Nono Named Immunologist of the Month by Immunopaedia

We are proud to announce that Dr. Justin Komguep Nono, Head of the Laboratory of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (LBMB) and the Immunobiology of Helminth Infections (IBHI) Unit at IMPM, has been named Immunologist of the Month by Immunopaedia.
Dr. Nono, a leading Cameroonian immunoparasitologist, is internationally recognized for his work on host-helminth interactions and how parasitic infections influence immune responses and vaccine efficacy. His research has revealed, among other findings, that chronic helminth infections can impair vaccine-induced immunity, an insight with major public health implications for endemic regions.
Beyond his scientific achievements, Dr. Nono plays key leadership roles within the Global Schistosomiasis Alliance (GSA), the Cameroon Immunology Society (CIS), and the Federation of African Immunological Societies (FAIS). His career has been supported by numerous fellowships and funding bodies, including EDCTP, the African Academy of Sciences, and Merck Healthcare.
This recognition reflects not just scientific excellence but also a commitment to mentorship, collaboration, and building research capacity in Africa.
